Overview
FlightSkill is a browser-based multiplayer flight game. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the client and game servers, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
When you play FlightSkill, we may process the following information:
- Player name. You choose a display name when joining a game session. Names are limited to 10 alphanumeric characters and are sent to the game server you connect to.
- Gameplay data. While connected, the server processes information needed to run the simulation, including your unit position, actions, score, health, and related in-game state.
- Connection data. Your browser connects to a FlightSkill game server over WebSocket. Standard network metadata such as IP address, connection timestamps, and request logs may be recorded by the server or hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
- Local preferences. The client may store audio, UI, and control settings in your browser's local storage so your preferences persist between visits.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Authenticate your session and display your player name in the game.
- Run authoritative multiplayer simulation, collision detection, and scoring.
- Maintain leaderboards and session state while you are connected.
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the game and its infrastructure.
- Remember your local client settings between visits.
What we do not collect
FlightSkill does not require an account, email address, or payment information to play. The client does not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
Storage and retention
Game session data is held in server memory for the duration of your connection and related operational logs may be retained for a limited period. Local client settings remain in your browser until you clear site data or change them in the game.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with infrastructure providers that host the game servers, strictly to operate the service, or when required by law.
Children
FlightSkill is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your choices
You can choose a different player name each time you connect, adjust or reset client settings in the game, and clear local storage through your browser settings. Disconnecting from a server ends your active session.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was most recently revised.
